Game Day Central VBS Amazing!

What an awesome week we just concluded at our 2007 Vacation Bible School at Central. This year’s theme was Game Day Central and used sports as a way to communicate the gospel. Over 1000 children and workers were involved, with an average attendance of 812. Over $2,600 was raised by the children for missions. And the best news of all is that 119 children prayed to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! The picture here is of the decision time on Wednesday, June 27. I can’t say enough about this amazing week. Thanks be to God and to every person who had a role in VBS 2007!
I recently had some very special guests to drop by the office. Four children from the Ugandan Children’s Choir. They are touring the Southeast and will be presenting a concert at our church on Sunday evening, July 15, at 6:30 p.m. A different choir from the same Royal School and Orphanage in Kampala, Uganda, came through last summer. In one night, our church gave over $26,000 to the construction of new facilities. In the picture are, left to right: Catherine, Fabian, Mercy and Aloyzius. Thanks so much to Linda May for the picture. She has been a fabulous hostess to these kids the last two years and has been to Uganda twice. We have a team going on-site from our church in October.
