Originally launched on January 1, 2020, as Circle, the network’s linear operations concluded on December 31, 2024, while live streaming continued under the new name, Circle Country. The programming, featuring a variety of country music-oriented and rural-themed content, can be accessed through streaming platforms such as Circle Now App, Peacock, Roku Channel Live TV, Samsung TV Plus, and Sling Freestream.

Circle Media is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with production facilities inside the Grand Ole Opry House. The network had a presence on digital subchannels, ad-supported video-on-demand channels, and national carriers before transitioning to a streaming-focused model.

The move away from over-the-air (OTA) operations in 2024 did not mark the end of Circle’s content. They explained that they chose to “wind down” the Circle joint venture and shift towards a distribution approach, leading to the discontinuation of the linear TV network.

The decision to transition away from the linear TV network came after the company’s announcement in April 2024 about a rebranding to “Square Network.” However, the rebranding was revealed to be an April Fool’s Day prank, and the network maintained its Circle branding until the eventual shift to streaming. While Circle TV, a cable network focused on country music, was previously accessible for Spectrum subscribers, it is important to note that the network is currently unavailable.
