Ned Fulmer, whose full name is Edward Gallo Fulmer, was born on June 11, 1987, in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Yale University, where he pursued a degree in chemistry. After graduation, he worked in a chemistry lab before switching careers and joining Buzzfeed. While at Buzzfeed, Fulmer established the video fellowship program. Prior to this, he lived in Chicago where he worked at a renewable energy lab during the day and performed improv and sketch comedy for Second City and iO Chicago house teams at night. His comedic talent was recognized by Time Out Chicago, which named him a “Critic’s Pick”.

Ned Fulmer is a well-known former member of the comedy group called ‘The Try Guys from BuzzFeed Motion Pictures. Along with his team members, Fulmer creates, writes, directs, shoots, and stars in their own series of videos on BuzzFeed’s YouTube channel. Their videos explore different scenarios and situations, entertaining viewers while also educating them on various aspects of life. With a combined total of 2.2 million followers and 550 million video views across their YouTube and Facebook accounts, The Try Guys have become a beloved source of entertainment for many. He left the group in September 2022 following reports of his “consensual workplace relationship” with an employee, which led to his removal as a manager and employee of Second Try LLC. The remaining members of The Try Guys – Eugene Lee Yang, Zach Kornfeld, and Keith Habersberger – addressed the situation in a video, stating that they had no prior knowledge of Fulmer’s misconduct and that they had taken swift action upon learning of it.
