During Link’s encounter with Riju at the beginning of the “Divine Beast Vah Naboris” Main Quest, disguised as a woman, she initially perceives him as a regular traveller and inquires about his entry into the palace. Riju notices something intriguing about Link, referring to his possession of the Sheikah Slate.

However, before Link can explain his purpose, Buliara, the captain of the guard, interrupts and demands an explanation. Riju intervenes and urges Buliara to wait, recognising that Link is more than a mere traveller. She asks for his name, and when Link reveals his ability to calm the Divine Beast Vah Naboris, Riju expresses doubt about his power to subdue such a formidable creature.

However, her attention is drawn to the Sheikah Slate on Link’s hip, as she acknowledges that the Sheikah would not entrust such a valuable item to just anyone. Buliara realises that Link is, in fact, a man, which is traditionally forbidden in Gerudo Town. Nevertheless, Riju, convinced by the evidence of the Sheikah Slate and Link’s association with Lady Urbosa, declares Link a friend and ally, willing to assist in subduing Vah Naboris.

Lady Riju can be found in the palace of Gerudo Town, where she occupies the throne alongside Buliara, overseeing the governance of the Gerudo people.
