Andy Gibb was an English singer, songwriter and actor. He is from a family of music background as his father and brothers were also singers and musicians. He started his music career at a very young age. He was at the height of fame in the late 1970s and the early 1980s. Throughout his career, he has released three studio albums, five compilation albums and twelve singles. He hosted the music television series called ‘Solid Gold’ between 1981 and 1982 and appeared in a few television sitcoms.

In March 1988, he was admitted at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford due to chest pain. He died in that hospital due to Myocarditis which is an inflammation of the heart’s muscles that was caused by over usage of cocaine. He passed away on March 10, 1988.
