Four days later, he put his plan into action. He first went to his four-year-old daughter Bella’s room and used a pillow to smother her. He then went to Celeste’s room and did the same. After killing his two daughters, he went back to bed with his wife and strangled her to death after creating a divorce argument with her.

Chris then smothered Celeste with her favorite blanket before dropping her into an oil tank. He then turned to his oldest daughter, Bella, who pleaded with him not to kill her, but he went ahead and killed her as well before dropping her down the oil tank.

Chris even gave press interviews pleading for his family to come back home and claimed he had no idea where they were. However, he failed a polygraph test and eventually pleaded guilty to the murders. In his confession, he said, “That’s the last time I’m going to be tucking my babies in.” I knew what would happen the day before and did nothing to stop it. All I could feel was now I was free to be with Nikki. Feelings of my love for her were overcoming me. I felt no remorse.”
