Duty After School is a South Korean streaming TV series featuring Shin Hyun-soo, Lee Soon-won, Im Se-mi, Kwon Eun-bin, Kim Ki-hae, Kim Min-chul, Kim So-hee, Kim Su-gyeom, Kim Jung-lan, Moon Sang-min, Shin Myung-sung, Shin Soo-hyun, Shin Hye-ji, Ahn Da-eun, Ahn Do-gyu, Yeo Joo-ha, Oh Se-eun, Woo Min-gyu, Yoon Jong-bin, Lee Yeon, Ji Min-hyuk, Choi Moon-hee, Hong Sa-bin, Hwang Se-in round out the ensemble cast. 

Based on Ha Il-kwon’s webtoon of the same name, which was eventually released on Naver Webtoon. On March 31, 2024, at 6:00 (KST), it made its TVING debut. In some areas, it may also be watched online on Viki and Viu. The two segments of the series were shown back-to-back on March 31 and April 21, 2024, respectively.

Duty After School Part 2 Review

Despite having modest initial expectations, the drama last season titled Duty after School 2024 gained popularity because of its zombie/alien invasion premise. Unexpectedly, it ended up being the best drama of its kind, even outperforming the hype around “All of Us Are Dead.” This encounter made me realize that amazing content may come from unexpected places and that one shouldn’t always judge a book by its cover.

Due to the high bar that the first season of Duty after School 2024 had established, the second season was greatly anticipated. However, disappointment soon followed when the drama abruptly departed from the original plot as presented in the webtoon in the second half of the season.

The tale seems to have been hastily wrapped up by the authors and directors since they thought it wouldn’t be a major hit. The final 30 to 40 minutes seemed to last forever and marred the whole experience.  Despite the show’s initial popularity, many viewers were irritated and upset by the forced conclusion.

Upon consideration, it was discovered that the drama had been among the best in capturing the harsh realities of life. But occasionally reality comes up short, as was the case with “Duty after School 2024.” In order to avoid disappointment, it is advised to future viewers to miss this season’s final episode.

Finally, Duty after School 2024 was a drama that began with low hopes, surpassed them with an interesting first half, but ultimately fell short due to a hasty and disappointing finish.

Duty After School Part 2 Plot

Duty After School is a drama that follows the seniors at Seongjin High as they are thrust into a desperate battle for survival against a mysterious creature invasion. The story is set in a dystopian future where an unknown sphere has unleashed devastating creatures that cover the sky, bringing the end of the world closer. The students, armed with guns instead of pens, must fight fiercely in a war unlike any they have ever faced. 

As they navigate through treacherous landscapes and face unimaginable challenges, they must come to terms with the harsh realities of the situation and make difficult choices in order to stay alive. “Duty After School” is a gripping tale of courage, sacrifice, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of a cataclysmic event.

Duty After School Part 1 Ending

Two students from the high school, Wang Tae-Man, and Woo Hee-Rak snuck out to the convenience shop to buy some food as soon as they stopped to examine, giving the kids a reprieve. The instructors were instantly alerted by their teacher, Ms. Park, and they all started looking for the two. The scene they discovered, however, changed their lives since they discovered deceased military people and students with their body parts scattered over the streets and buildings. 

Chaos broke out as little duplicates of the monster that had assaulted Young-Hoon started attacking everyone on the street. Bo-Ra and Soon-Yi were trapped inside a secure space when the monsters started smashing the glass at the end of “Duty After School” Episode 2, while their other companion Ha-Na barricaded herself inside the car. The rest of them were saved by the instructors as they crowded together at a stairway to keep themselves safe, but Tae-Man and Hee-Rak were nowhere to be found.
