Are You The One?

“Are You the One?” is a popular American reality dating show that premiered on MTV in 2014. The show features a group of single men and women who are brought together in a tropical location to find their perfect match. Before the show begins, a team of relationship experts selects 10 men and 10 women who they believe are compatible with each other based on a variety of factors, including their personalities, interests, and dating histories. The goal of the show is for each contestant to find their pre-selected “perfect match” within the group.

Throughout the season, the contestants participate in challenges and dates to get to know each other better, with the ultimate goal of correctly identifying their perfect match. If they successfully identify all 10 perfect matches by the end of the season, the entire group splits a cash prize.

Kari and Max

Despite being named as a “Perfect Match” on the show, Kari and Max never developed a romantic relationship. Nowadays, Kari is occupied with her career as a comedian and a cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens, performing with the Raven’s Playmakers Squad. Additionally, in 2024 she intends to focus on developing a singing career.

Max is currently employed as a manager at the Seven20 Group in Los Angeles. It remains uncertain whether he has any plans to manage his former Are You the One? match, but it’s unlikely. Nevertheless, it would be a great way to reunite the two of them.

Justin and Kylie

Justin seems to be focusing on photography and identifies himself as a content creator on social media, although his Instagram account is private. He maintains a separate Instagram account devoted to his photography and offers his services for portrait shoots and special events.

Amber and Remy

Although they were identified as a “Perfect Match” during the season, Amber and Remy never entered into a romantic relationship. After the show, they pursued separate lives, but they are both easily reachable if you’re interested in following their endeavors.

Kylie participated in MTV’s Match Me If You Can in 2021 to find her ideal partner. Currently, she resides in New York City and works as a model. However, it appears that she is still not in a committed relationship.

Aasha and Brandon

Aasha and Brandon were the sole pair confirmed as a “Perfect Match” by the truth booth during the season. Unfortunately, they revealed in a reunion special shared on YouTube that their relationship ended after filming concluded.

Kai and Danny

Kai created the short film Them in 2020, and they still advocate for others as someone who identifies as transmasculine non-binary. Kai was also featured in True Life: Quarantine Stories. Although Kai’s Instagram account is not very active, they employ it to communicate with their followers and to continue telling their personal narrative.Danny has also been involved in the film industry, with appearances in shows such as Rogue Theory and The Verdict. He frequently posts videos on Instagram to keep his followers informed about his life. However, it is somewhat ambiguous whether he is currently in a relationship.

Basit and Johnson 

Basit and Jonathan were in a romantic relationship for nearly the entire duration of the eighth season. Although they are not together now, both have kept themselves occupied since the season concluded. Basit co-founded Legacy: A Black Queer Production Collective and remains actively involved in the LGBTQ+ community. Furthermore, Basit collaborates with the Queer Music talent agency.

Jenna and Paige

Following the end of Season 8, Jenna and Paige parted ways, but they both seem to be thriving in their respective lives. Jenna made a move from Indiana to Los Angeles, and currently appears to be in a romantic relationship. In contrast, Paige appears to be relishing her time as an Instagram influencer in New York City, despite being single.

Jasmine and Nour

Regrettably, fans who rooted for Jasmine and Nour’s Perfect Match on Season 8 of Are You the One? may be disappointed to learn that the two are no longer in touch. Nevertheless, Jasmine has not bid farewell to reality television, and made an appearance on Floribama Shore soon after the season concluded.

As for Nour, there are no active public social media accounts linked to her name, but rumors suggest that she may have given birth to a baby since the show ended.
