In 2015, Faiyaz released his debut single “Allure,” followed by “Invite Me” in 2016. On his 21st birthday, he released his first EP, “A.M. Paradox.” Faiyaz formed the musical group Sonder with Atu and Dpat in October 2016, and they released their debut single, “Too Fast,” that same month. However, Faiyaz’s breakthrough came in December 2016 when he was featured on GoldLink’s song “Crew” alongside rapper Shy Glizzy.

The song was certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA and earned Faiyaz a Grammy nomination. In January 2017, Faiyaz and Sonder released their debut EP, “Into,” which was critically acclaimed and even earned them the Artist of the Month title from Duplion. Complex also ranked the EP at number 23 on its list of The Best Albums of 2017.
