How To Play Business Game?

The Business game is very much similar to Monopoly, the game like every other game has its own rules, regulations and conditions.   This game became even more popular just like dart board during the pandemic when the lockdown was ordered.  This was one of the games that kept everyone occupied and helped strengthen their relationship with their family members.  We need to think of a strategy to increase our chances of winning the game. The players of Business games need to make a lot of good decisions and possess decision-making skills to win the game. Last but not least, the Luck factor is also very important to win the business game. One can follow the original rules or try different strategies depending upon one’s own preferences but they must ensure that they do not stray away from the framework of the game.

Gameplay

The game requires a minimum of three to four players, and with the commencement of the game each player will be given Rs 15,000/- Players will take turns to roll the dice and whoever gets 12 on the dice first can start moving ahead. Other players will have to wait in the starting point till they also get 12 on the dice they roll. In order to purchase property players will have to go past the starting point indicating ‘GO.’ When they reach GO space, they receive Rs1500/-. The player will get a chance to play once again if they roll a double. The players play around the board to make as much money as possible. Players who are at loss will be a loser and the player who has all the money will be declared  the winner.

Property

In the game, each city is a property. If a player reaches a city and does not buy it or cannot afford it, then the banker player will auction the city to the highest bidder. If no player wants to buy it it will remain as not sold. The price of each city is mentioned on the board. To be able to buy everything wherever the player lands are the winning strategy in this game. It’s all about how to make the right moves and do business successfully.

When a player lands on the property owned or purchased by another player, the player will have to pay rent to the player who owns the property. The player who owns the property can also build a house and charge more rent for properties which have similar colour. The price of each building depends upon the city it is situated. The players who are owners  should build houses on the property in uniform colour.

Chance and Community Chest

If a player lands on either of the above places, they can draw a card from the deck that you get with the Business game and act as per the instructions given on the card. Players can receive money or lose money and even be sent to jail if the instructions given on the card states that.

Jail

When a player gets a card with instructions’ to be sent to jail’, the player cannot play until the player is freed from the jail. But they can continue to collect rent, buy houses, participate in the auction, if they have made that much money. The two ways that a player ends up in jail is when a player draws a card from the Chance or Community Chest deck that reads ‘to be sent to jail’ or when the player rolls three doubles repeatedly.

Now How to get out of Jail:

Roll a double when the player gets his chance.

Use the “Get Out of Jail Free” card.

Pay Rs 200 fine to the banker player and be able to make a fresh move in the next turn. But he will not be eligible for Rs.1500/-.

Another strategy played usually by experienced players is they do not try to get out of jail, they would rather play the game sitting inside the jail as they don’t have to pay rent for the property owned by other players. They save all the money and can buy the property and sometimes emerge winning the game with maximum money and property owned by them. But this is applicable only if they already own a minimum number of property.

Income Tax

When a player lands on this space, he will have to pay Rs 200 to the banker player.

Club House

When a player lands here, the player will have to pay Rs 100 to the banker player for using it.

Rest House

Players who land on Rest House will not get to roll the dice in the next round as the name suggests they will be given rest.
