Ivan “Navi” Emmanuel Gacho, the head coach of RSG’s MDL PH, has passed away due to fatal arrhythmia. The Mobile Legends esports community in the Philippines was devastated by the news of his passing.
Navi was a former MPL player and highly regarded coach. RSG Philippines expressed their condolences on Facebook, stating, “It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the passing of our good friend, Coach Ivan Emmanuel “NAVI” Gacho.

Former MPL PH player, Ivan “Navi” Emmanuel Gacho, has passed away, leaving the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang community in the Philippines in mourning. Navi’s fellow MLBB players shared their heartfelt tributes on social media, recalling fond memories and interactions with him.
Among those who paid tribute to Navi was Steven “Dale” Vitug, his former teammate in SGD Omega, who is now the head coach of HomeBois in the MPL Malaysia. Vitug shared how he had planned to follow in Navi’s footsteps and pursue a career abroad.
Ivan “Navi” Gacho, a Filipino Mobile Legends player turned coach, passed away on April 24, just a month before his 25th birthday on May 26. Gacho was the head coach of RSG Ignite, a team in the Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) Philippines.
His death was caused by fatal arrhythmia or irregular heartbeat, as confirmed by his brother, Isidro Erickson.
Coach Navi, who recently passed away, was not only the coach of RSG Ignite but also a former player in the MPL Philippines. He was one of the pioneering players in the local esports league and played for Sterling Global Dragons during Season 4 before transitioning to coaching in the MDL for RSG Ignite.
After leaving the MDL, he took a job in the BPO industry but still pursued his passion for Mobile Legends. He eventually returned to the scene as a coach for RSG Ignite and was grateful for the opportunity to establish himself in this role. In an interview with Spin. ph, he shared his love for coaching and the game and expressed his willingness to give it one last try, which turned out to be successful.
