  • Recruitment by Coach Tab Baldwin: While still in high school, Dwight Ramos was approached by coach Tab Baldwin to play for Ateneo de Manila University’s Blue Eagles in the Philippines after graduation. 
  • However, he opted to begin his college basketball journey in the United States.
  • College Career in the U.S.: Ramos played for the Cal State Fullerton Titans in the NCAA Division I from 2016 to 2018. 
  • Following this, he joined the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona for a season in the NCAA Division II.
  • Return to the Philippines and UAAP: After his U.S. college stint, Ramos returned to the Philippines to play for the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP. 
  • However, he had to undergo a residency period in 2019 before officially joining UAAP games. Despite the cancellation of Season 83 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he played for Ateneo in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League, helping the team secure the 2019 league title.
  • Decision to Forgo PBA Draft: Eligible for the PBA draft in 2021, Ramos decided to forgo entering the draft to have the opportunity to play alongside his brother at Ateneo.
  • Professional Career in Japan: Ramos chose to forgo his last year of eligibility in the UAAP and signed with the Toyama Grouses of the Japanese B.
