Inside Movie Ending Explained, Everything About the Movie

Inside Movie Ending Explained

The movie “Inside” explores the psychological journey of Nemo, a man who finds himself trapped in a modern and chic apartment. Despite his many attempts to escape, he realises that every effort is futile, and he is forced to live in this soulless space. The emptiness of the apartment is symbolic of the hollowness of the people who own it, and Nemo is infuriated by the businessman’s privileged position. He defaces the portrait of the businessman and his daughter, feeling a sense of injustice at their apparent lack of empathy for his miserable condition. As Nemo explores the apartment, he discovers a hidden chamber containing the owner’s most prized possessions, including a self-portrait by Schiele and the manuscript of “The Marriage of Heaven and Hell” by William Blake.

Nemo dreams of meeting the owner at an art gallery and realises that he is a puppet in the hands of his master. Despite his growing insanity, Nemo is determined to challenge destiny and keep himself alive by eating the fish from the aquarium. As Nemo’s situation becomes more desperate, he triggers the fire alarm, hoping for rescue. But it is winter, and there is no hope left for him.

In the end, Nemo leaves a note addressed to the owner, stating that the apartment needs destruction because art is born out of destruction. The wide shot of the apartment shows the art that Nemo has created out of chaos and endless misery. Finally, Nemo climbs up his tower one last time, and the glass panel of the skylight crashes to the ground. The ending of “Inside” can be interpreted in two ways: either Nemo made his escape or he gave up on his life after building a masterpiece out of his lived experience. The movie “Inside” is a thought-provoking exploration of the human psyche and the power of art to transform our lived experiences into something meaningful. It is a reminder that even in the most desperate of situations, there is always a glimmer of hope, and we can use our creativity to make something beautiful out of chaos and destruction.
