Calum Scott is an English singer and songwriter. On 12 October 1988, he was born to Kevin Scott and Debbie Burton in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. He grew up with his younger sister, Jade. When Calum was two years old, his parents divorced, and his father moved to Canada. Calum began his music career on 15 August 2013 by winning a talent competition, Mail’s Star Search. Then he joined a Maroon 5 Tribute band, but they broke up later. On 11 April 2015, Calum did an audition for season 9 of Britain’s Got Talent, while his sister, Jade, also did her audition but was not selected. When Calum gave his audition with Robyn’s ‘Dancing on My Own’ song, the judges gave him a Golden Buzzer by giving him an automatic place in the live shows. Later, Calum’s performance made the judges put him straight to the semi-final as he sounds like a real professional.
