Yes, Remnant: From the Ashes supports both crossplay and cross-platform capabilities, allowing you to seamlessly connect and play with friends across different gaming platforms. However, it’s essential to note that there are specific limitations to this crossplay functionality.
The game supports crossplay exclusively between the following platforms: Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. So, while you can enjoy cooperative gameplay with friends on these platforms, crossplay with other systems is not currently supported in Remnant: From the Ashes.

Remnant: From the Ashes is a game that takes ideas from games like Dark Souls. It’s not just about close combat; it also has shooting elements where you can use two guns and a melee weapon. These guns can be different types like machine guns or sniper rifles, and you can add mods to them for extra abilities, like teleportation. You create your own character and need to beat tough enemies and bosses in a world that changes every time you play.
You can team up with two other players, and the game adjusts its difficulty based on how many people are playing. If you join someone else’s game, you get the same rewards, but when you go back to your game, you have to go through the story again.
This is because each player’s world is different, with different enemies and bosses. When you die, you don’t lose items or skills; you just go back to a checkpoint, and the game keeps things interesting by changing the enemies each time.
Remnant: From the Ashes is set in a world wrecked by an evil force called the Root. As a survivor, your goal is to stop the Root by reaching a tower on an island, the heart of the invasion. At the beginning, you find Ward 13, an underground shelter for survivors. To locate the founder, Ford, you explore the destroyed city and discover a portal called the Labyrinth. This portal lets you travel between worlds to find Ford.
Your journey takes you to Rhom, the remnants of a civilization that sacrificed its world to escape the Root. The Undying King asks you to go to the swamp planet Corsus, kill its Guardian, and bring back its heart. This will allow the King to birth a new Guardian for Rhom. On Corsus, you face a choice: deliver the heart to the King or give it to the Iskal Queen, the ruler of a parasitic insectoid hive mind. If you choose the latter, you must then defeat the King.
Next, you travel to the forest world of Yaesha, where a civil war is underway among its Satyr-like inhabitants. After aiding rebels and exploring, you find Ford imprisoned and set him free. In return, Ford gives you a key to activate a portal in Ward 13 that lets you travel to the tower, known as Ward 17.
In Ward 13, you uncover information revealing that the Root came to Earth due to failed experiments using the human subconscious. The Root are connected to Dreamers, one of the subjects. Through the portal, you reach Ward 17 and confront the Dreamer. After defeating the Dreamer in his own subconscious, he transforms into a massive Root creature. You finally defeat this creature, breaking free from the Dreamer’s subconscious and putting an end to the Root at their source.
