Who is Solo Sikoa?

Joseph Yokozuna Fatu was born on March 18, 1993, and his ring name is Solo SIkoa. He is a professional wrestler and performs in WWE, the SmackDown. Solo Sikoa belongs to the famous wrestling family Anoa’i, the family of Samoan wrestlers. His birthplace is Sacramento, California USA. Solo Sikoa first debuted as Sefa Fatu along with his cousins Jacob Fatu and Journey Fatu in April 2018. A few months later, he joined with his father Rikishi to fight against Brubaker and Jay Bradley at the Zelo Pro 1.

In 2021, Solo Sikoa signed a contract with WWE and performed in WWE NXT and fought against Grayson Waller in an interrupting segment, and established himself as a “face” which refers to a “heroic act in wrestling”.  In 2022, Solo Sikoa aligned himself with “The Bloodline”, a team including Roman Reigns. He lost the challenge with Cody Rhodes and it was Solo Sikoa’s first pinfall defeat in WWE.

How is Solo Sikoa related to the Usos?

Solo Sikoa is the younger brother of “The Usos”. The Usos include the twin brothers Joshua Samuel Fatu and Jonathan Solofa Fatu, who have their ring names as Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. They are also a part of “The Bloodline”, including their cousin, Roman Reigns, and the members of the renowned Anoa’i wrestling family of Samoan wrestlers. Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa are first cousins once-removed from WWE superstars Manu, Samu, Rosey, Roman Reigns, and Sean Maluta and they are also nephews of The Tonga Kid, Umaga, Afa Anoa’i, and Sika Anoa’i. Solo Sikoa and The Usos have a blood brotherhood between their great-grandfather Peter Maivia, James Snuka, Deuce, Tamina, and The Rock.

Solo Sikoa and The Usos

Though Solo Sikoa is the younger brother of The Uso, Solo Sikoa appeared in the NXT as a solo. Solo Sikoa made himself away from his siblings in the beginning, but later he joined The Bloodline, led by his cousin, Roman Reigns. Once Solo Sikoa helped Roman Reigns to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Solo told Give Me Sport that he wants to build his career and that he was different from his brothers even in the hairstyle. Solo doesn’t want his brothers to change him into a Uso and he added that it is hard for him to be a Solo but easy for him to be a Uso.  Solo Sikoa married Almia Williams on February 28, 2024, and the couple has two kids. Solo Sikoa also appeared as “Taz” in the movie “Destroyer (2018).

Solo Sikoa’s Wrestling Career

In 2018, Solo Sikoa appeared in his first match under the ring name Sefa Fatu. He often teams up with his cousins Jacob Fatu, Journey Fatu, and Vincenzo Iosefa Parisi. Solo Sikoa teamed with his father Rikishi and Vincenzo Losefa Parisi and defeated Brubaker, Gringo Loco, and Jay Bradley at the Zelo Pro 1. Solo Sikoa appeared in Future Stars of Wrestling in December 2018. Solo Sikoa won FSW Nevada State Championship and hold the belt for nearly 150 days and lost to Hammerstone.

Solo Sikoa signed a contract with WWE and appeared in WWE NXT. Solo Sikoa made his debut in WWE in the middle of the match between Grayson Waller and L.A. Knight and attacked Waller to show himself as a “face”.  In 2022, Solo SIkoa joined “The Bloodline” which made a surprise appearance in the match between Roman Reigns and Drew Mclntyre and helped Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
