John Wick 4 Is He Really Dead? Is Winston John Wicks Father? Will There be a John Wick 5?

John Wick 4 Is He Really Dead?

In a post-screening Q&A at the SXSW Film & TV Festival, Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski discussed the ending of John Wick: Chapter 4. Reeves explained that the ending was inspired by the Hagakure, a spiritual guide for a warrior outlined back to Japanese samurai in the 17th century.

The Hagakure teaches that death is not something to be feared, but rather a natural part of life. In the same way, Reeves and Stahelski wanted to show that John Wick’s death was not the end, but rather a new beginning.

Stahliski also told Rolling Stone that whether John Wick is dead or not is totally up to the viewer. “These movies are supposed to be mythological fables, and there are consequences. When you do bad things, bad things happen. If there is another way for John to get out of this or another way to have a satisfying conclusion to this particular journey, I’m happy to hear it.

But you can’t do a whole series about consequence and fate without showing consequence and fate. You have to bring it full-circle. Now, did John allow that all to happen just so he could go back to John? I love films or books that are open to interpretation.”

The ending of John Wick: Chapter 4 is a powerful and thought-provoking one. It leaves the viewer with a lot to think about, and it is sure to spark a lot of discussion. Whether or not John Wick is actually dead is up to the viewer to decide. But one thing is for sure: the ending of this film is sure to stay with you long after the credits have rolled.

Is Winston John Wicks Father?

At the end of John Wick: Chapter 4, Winston visits John’s grave and says “farewell, my son” in Russian. This has led some fans to speculate that Winston is John’s father. However, it is more likely that Winston is simply a father-figure to John.

There is no evidence to suggest that Winston is John’s biological father. In fact, John is said to be an orphan. However, Winston does have a tattoo of the Ruska Roma syndicate on his wrist, which is the same crime family that John belongs to. This suggests that Winston and John are part of the same family, even if they are not related by blood.

In addition, Winston has always shown a great deal of affection for John. He calls him “Jonathan,” which is John’s real name, and he has always been there for him, even when John has made mistakes. This suggests that Winston sees John as a son, even if he is not his biological father.

Ultimately, whether or not Winston is John’s father is up to the viewer to decide. However, it is more likely that Winston is simply a father-figure to John. This is supported by the evidence in the film, as well as by the comments of Ian McShane, who plays Winston.

McShane has said that the relationships in John Wick: Chapter 4 are deeper and more developed than in previous films. This suggests that Winston’s relationship with John is also more complex than it appears on the surface. It is possible that Winston is more than just a friend or mentor to John; he may also be a father figure.

Only time will tell if Winston is John’s father. However, the evidence suggests that he is more likely to be a father-figure. This would add an extra layer of complexity to their relationship, and it would make John’s journey in the John Wick films even more interesting.

Will There Be A John Wick 5?

John Wick: Chapter 4 was a huge success, both critically and commercially. The film grossed over $73 million in its opening weekend, and it has received some of the best reviews in the franchise. This has led to speculation about whether or not there will be a John Wick: Chapter 5.

In 2020, it was announced that John Wick: Chapter 5 was in development. However, it was later revealed that the film would not be shot back-to-back with John Wick: Chapter 4. This led some fans to believe that Chapter 5 would not be made.

However, Lionsgate has not officially confirmed or denied the existence of John Wick: Chapter 5. Chad Stahelski, the director of the John Wick films, has said that he would be interested in making a fifth film. Keanu Reeves, who plays John Wick, has also said that he would be open to returning for another film.

Ultimately, the fate of John Wick: Chapter 5 is up to Lionsgate. However, the success of John Wick: Chapter 4 suggests that there is a strong demand for another film in the franchise. If Lionsgate does decide to make John Wick: Chapter 5, it is likely that it will be released in 2024 or 2025.

In the meantime, fans can enjoy the John Wick universe through other projects. For example, there is a John Wick television series in development for Hulu. There is also a spin-off film called Ballerina, which will focus on a young female assassin.

The John Wick franchise is one of the most popular action franchises in recent years. With the success of John Wick: Chapter 4, it is clear that the franchise is still going strong. Fans can expect to see more from John Wick in the years to come

Is John Wick Actually Dead?

After completing his side quest, John Wick, Winston, and the Marquis met in Paris to discuss the terms of their duel. If Wick won, he would be granted his freedom, the New York Continental Hotel would be rebuilt, and Winston would be reinstated as its manager. If Wick lost, he would die, as would Winston. If Wick did not arrive at their agreed-upon location, outside the Sacré-Cœur Basilica at daybreak, both he and Winston would be shot in the head.

However, there was a catch: Wick could only duel on behalf of one of the established crime families. This forced him to reunite with his old clan, the Ruska Roma, and take out Killa, a High Table member who had murdered the father of his adoptive sister Katia. Wick accepted the terms of the duel and set out to find Killa. He eventually tracked him down to a nightclub in Berlin. The two men fought viciously, and Wick eventually emerged victorious.

With Killa dead, Wick had fulfilled his part of the bargain. He was granted his freedom, the New York Continental Hotel was rebuilt, and Winston was reinstated as its manager. The duel with Killa was a turning point in John Wick’s story. It marked the end of his old life and the beginning of a new one. With his freedom, Wick was finally able to start over and find peace.
