He became a well-known racer and went on to win the AMA National Arenacross title twice, making him the fourth rider in series history to achieve this feat. Demuth retired from racing in 2012 while ranked second in the Amsoil Arenacross Championship points standings but suffered a severe injury six months later while riding with friends.
