He was the cherished husband of Shannon Leigh (White) Crowley and the devoted father to two sons, Colton Padraig and Andrew Hanson. His parents were Martha (Colton) Crowley and Peter Crowley. Patrick also had a brother, the late James Crowley. In addition to his immediate family, Patrick was also connected through marriage. He was the son-in-law of Shelley Hanson and Stephen and Jane White.
Patrick’s familial ties extended to his grandparents as well. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara and James Colton of Middletown, RI, and Elizabeth and Michael Crowley of Newport, RI. Tragically, he also lost cousins, Jaime Crowley and Ariel Rose Crowley, both from Newport, RI.
Patrick Crowley was a loving husband and father, placing his family’s well-being and happiness at the forefront of his life. He demonstrated his commitment through various means, whether it was coaching sports or dedicating countless hours to activities like Middletown Little League, soccer, snowboarding, fishing, and enjoying moments at Hazard’s Beach. His greatest joy was found in the presence of his family and friends, and his devotion to them was a cornerstone of his character.
Patrick’s educational journey began at Rogers High School, where he matriculated and successfully graduated in 1995. During his time there, he exhibited his versatility by earning letters of distinction in both football and golf. Beyond his athletic pursuits, Patrick nurtured a fondness for music, highlighting his diverse interests during his formative years.
Continuing his academic pursuits, Patrick enrolled at Keene State College. During his time there, he became an integral part of the Rugby Team, showcasing his dedication to both academics and sports. Ultimately, he graduated with a degree in Environmental Health & Safety studies, a testament to his commitment to fostering a safer and healthier environment for all.
Patrick’s summers were spent contributing to the Newport Tent, an experience that not only shaped his professional journey but also forged lasting friendships. This period allowed him to form connections that would stand the test of time, illustrating his innate ability to create meaningful relationships in various aspects of his life.

A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 15, 2024, at St. Mary’s Church, situated at the corner of Spring St & Memorial Blvd in Newport, beginning at 10 AM. Following the service, interment will occur at St. Columba Cemetery, located at 465 Brown’s Ln in Middletown. This gathering serves as a time for friends, family, and the community to pay their final respects and celebrate the enduring impact Patrick Crowley had on their lives.
