Leon and Wanda Holding Hands

In desperate need of cash, Franklin turns to his best friend Leon, who lives in the projects, and asks how much money he has. Leon tells him he has $3 million but refuses to lend it to him. Franklin promises to make Leon a partner in the Spring Street development property and pay him back five to ten times more when he gets back on his feet. However, Leon declines, stating that Cissy sacrificed her life for Franklin, and he won’t disrespect her memory. In a fit of rage, Franklin pulls out a gun and demands that Leon hand over the money. But Leon’s men surround Franklin, and he realizes he’s outmatched. Franklin leaves without the money.

Later, Leon assures Wanda that Franklin won’t come after him again. But Wanda reveals that she’s planning to buy a one-way ticket to Ghana. At first, Leon doesn’t express any desire to go with her. It’s not until a visit with Cissy in jail that Leon decides to leave town. Cissy shares with him that losing Franklin was one of her greatest tragedies in life, but Leon’s friendship was one of her greatest surprises. She encourages him to go be with Wanda and figure out who he truly wants to be in life, so he can come back one day and make amends for his mistakes.

Veronique Run-Off

Franklin is at Cissy’s home trying to gather his thoughts when real estate mogul Paul Davis shows up and offers to buy Franklin’s stake in the Spring Street development project. Paul reveals that Veronique contacted him with the idea. However, Franklin clarifies that he has no intention of selling his stake. Franklin confronts Veronique about her actions and threatens her when he learns that she went behind his back to contact Paul.

He reassures her that Spring Street will still be funded, as he sold his South Central properties to Arnold Tulfowitz, his mother’s former boss. Veronique is unhappy with the news. Later, Franklin goes to the bank to secure a credit line and withdraw money, only to discover that Veronique has already emptied most of the account, taking approximately $800,000 before leaving town.

Matters with Cissy

During her plea hearing, Cissy pleads guilty to murder and is ordered to remain in custody without bail until her sentencing. When Franklin visits her in jail, he informs her that he’s working with his lawyer to get her plea thrown out. He also warns her not to talk about the CIA anymore. However, when he asks her why she did what she did, Cissy remains silent and walks away.

In a subsequent visit, Franklin is intoxicated and requests that his mother sign over the ownership of her house so he can sell it. He reminds her that he technically purchased the property. But once again, Cissy does not respond to her son. Franklin becomes rude and disrespectful, causing Cissy to leave as he is escorted out by the guards.

The Truth About Peaches Mystery

Franklin is disappointed to learn that Top Notch (Damien Smith) is cutting ties with him and that Veronique hasn’t been found during a meeting. Top Notch, on the other hand, gives the criminal boss a file as a thank you that gives him some hope.

Franklin travels by car to an unidentified house in the Los Angeles suburbs. He slips into the house conveying a firearm and finds Peaches laying on the lounge chair, clearly in the center of a medication high.

Peaches makes the admission that a safe contained some money and offers to get it for Franklin. Peaches pulls out a gun and fires at Franklin as he attempts to get off the couch, narrowly missing. Franklin returns fire, killing him. Overreacting and strolling through the house, Franklin coincidentally finds the safe, however he cannot open it.

He eventually dials a locksmith, who shows up to help. A friend of Peaches appears on the scene midway through the process. The friend leaves the room because he is worried about Peaches. Franklin follows him and kills him, scaring the locksmith.

When Franklin comes back, he shoots the locksmith and demands that he close the safe. Only $12,000 of the $5 million that Peaches stole is discovered when it is opened. Franklin gives it to the locksmith, who takes it with hilarious laughter. Franklin shoots the locksmith in the back as he turns to leave.

Louie’s and Gustavo’s Path

DEA Agent Tony Marino arrives at a remote farm in search of Louie (played by Angela Lewis), who is wanted as one of the largest cocaine distributors in LA and may be using the alias Carla Huggins. Louie is hiding nearby and listens as the owners of the property lie to Marino, saying that she was there last winter but has since moved on.

Meanwhile, Gustavo  is coaching wrestling in the ring. After dismissing his class, he checks the answering service he previously told Xiamara to use. He is surprised to hear a message from Xiamara, who informs him that she and the boys have settled down in North Carolina. She apologizes for not having contacted him sooner, but jokes that her mom would have killed her. Xiamara concludes the message by saying that she and the boys miss him and would love to see him if possible, leaving Gustavo with a smile on his face.

Fate of Franklin

After a year abroad in Ghana, Leon returns to a run-down Cissy’s home in LA where Franklin is living. There is an eviction notice on the door due to unpaid taxes. As they walk around the neighborhood, Franklin asks about Wanda, and Leon tells him she’s doing well pursuing a music career but it’s a long story. Leon offers Franklin an opportunity to join his new business venture, a free legal clinic, but Franklin declines and just wants money to buy alcohol from Cho’s, the store he used to work at in season 1. As they walk back to the house, they witness the police seizing Cissy’s home. Leon offers to pay the tax debt, but Franklin declines, saying he’s finally free.

Snowfall Finale Ending Explained

Leon returning from Ghana and reaching out to Franklin, who is struggling with addiction and homelessness. As they walk around their old neighborhood, Franklin expresses his desire for money to buy alcohol, indicating his continued dependence on substances. On the other hand, Leon offers Franklin an opportunity to be a part of his new business venture, a free legal clinic, which could provide Franklin with a sense of purpose and a chance to give back to the community.

However, Franklin declines the offer and chooses to prioritize his addiction over building a meaningful life for himself. Furthermore, they witness the police seizing Cissy’s home due to unpaid taxes, which serves as a reminder of the consequences of neglecting one’s responsibilities. Leon offers to pay the tax debt and help Franklin and Cissy keep their home, but Franklin refuses, choosing instead to cling to his freedom even if it means losing his home and potentially worsening his situation.

This highlights the importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions and making choices that prioritize long-term well-being over short-term pleasures. It also shows the value of having a support system, like Leon, which offers guidance and opportunities for growth. Ultimately, the decisions we make and the actions we take have consequences that can impact not only ourselves but also those around us.
