Sabik nang mahalikan
Mayakap ka’t masayaw sa ulan
Ang mundo’y gagaan
Mundo ko’y gagaan
Maligaw man ng landas ay
Hahanapin ang kalsada
Patungo sa ‘yo
Ikaw ang daan
Dumilim man ang paligid
Ay ikaw pa rin ang ilaw ko
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Bakit uhaw sa ‘yong sayaw?
Bakit ikaw?
‘Di bibitaw, sa ‘yong sa ‘yo
Laging ikaw
Ako’y giniginaw, halika rito
Dito ka lang sa tabi ko
Mananatiling uhaw, uhaw, uhaw
Hindi na mapakali
Puso’y nagmamadaling
Lambingin at suyuin ka
Oh, aking giliw, ako’y iyo
Kahit pa matalisod, mapagod
At bumigay ang tuhod
‘Di ako hihinto
Ikaw aking dulo
Mawala man ang anino ko
Nandito ka, oh, ilaw ko
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Bakit uhaw sa ‘yong sayaw?
Bakit ikaw? (Bakit ikaw?)
‘Di bibitaw, sa ‘yong sa ‘yo
Laging ikaw
Ako’y giniginaw, halika rito
Dito ka lang sa tabi ko
Mananatiling uhaw, uhaw, uhaw
Nauuhaw, naliligaw, nanliligaw, humihiyaw
Nalulunod sa kada taludtod ng pagkatao mo
Nakakatulalang tula, bawat bigkas ng labi mo
Nauuhaw, sumisigaw
Bakit uhaw sa ‘yong sayaw?
Bakit ikaw?
‘Di bibitaw, sa ‘yong sa ‘yo
Laging ikaw
Ako’y giniginaw, halika rito
Dito ka lang sa tabi ko
Mananatiling uhaw, uhaw, uhaw

Hailing from Baguio, Benguet, Dilaw, a dynamic Filipino rock band, emerged in 2021. Initially, a captivating alternative hip-hop duo led by the talents of Dilaw Obero (vocalist-songwriter) and Vie Dela Rosa (guitar virtuoso), the group soon evolved into a fully-fledged indie rock ensemble. The lineup expanded to include Wayne Dela Rosa (bass guitar), Leon Karlos (guitar), En Altomonte (keyboardist, synth maestro), and Tóbi Samson (drum powerhouse). Their debut year witnessed spirited independent performances and a subsequent collaboration with Warner Music Philippines, marked by the release of acclaimed singles such as “3019” and “Kaloy,” resonating strongly within the Filipino indie circuit.
Climbing the ladder of success, the band achieved a true milestone with their single “Uhaw (Tayong Lahat),” shattering Spotify Philippines’ records for single-day streams in the OPM genre. This triumph extended to a three-week reign atop the Billboard Philippines Songs chart. Building upon this triumph, Dilaw unveiled their inaugural extended play, “Sansinukob,” in 2024, a sonic journey that also revisited the independently released gem “Janice.”
The international spotlight found its way to Dilaw, securing them a coveted spot on the prestigious NME 100 list for 2024. This accolade solidified their position as a remarkable emerging force in the global music panorama.
