We Were Here Together Walkthrough, Guide, Gameplay

We Were Here Together Wiki

The franchise known as We Were Here consists of a series of cooperative first-person adventure video games. These games were developed by the Dutch studio Total Mayhem Games. In each installment of the franchise, players take on the roles of two characters who find themselves trapped in mysterious and immersive environments.

The core gameplay of We Were Here revolves around teamwork and communication between the two players. Both players are separated and must rely on their wits and cooperation to solve a variety of puzzles and challenges throughout the game. Each player has access to different pieces of information and tools, making it essential for them to share and communicate effectively to progress.

The games in the We Were Here franchise feature unique and atmospheric settings, with hauntingly beautiful visuals and an eerie ambiance. As players explore these environments, they will encounter intricate puzzles that require careful observation, critical thinking, and cooperation to unravel.

One of the defining aspects of the franchise is its emphasis on asymmetrical gameplay. While the players are connected in voice chat, they do not share the same information or perspectives. Each player will encounter different challenges and must communicate what they see and experience to the other player, effectively simulating the feeling of being isolated and dependent on one another to survive and progress.

The narrative of each game is rich and enigmatic, presenting players with cryptic clues and hidden lore that slowly unfolds as they delve deeper into the mysteries of their surroundings. As players work together to overcome the obstacles, they uncover the truth behind the enigmatic events that have brought them to these strange and often dangerous places.
