Jackson Whittemore was one of the main characters from the American television series Teen Wolf. His biological parents were Gordon Miller and Margaret Miller. He was adopted by David Whittemore. The character first appeared on the series in the first episode of the first season of the series aired on June 5, 2011. The character was played by an American actor, model and musician, Colton Haynes.

Jackson Whittemore was a star lacrosse player at the Beacon Hills High School. He started to get suspicious when Scott McCall became a talented player and wanted to know how he got the enhanced athletic skills. He then learned that Scott turned into a werewolf. He also wanted to become a werewolf and blackmailed Allison to help him to get a bite. But this didn’t work well. So, he asked Derek Hale to bite him. When Derek bit him, he didn’t become a werewolf but he transformed into a Kanima.

He was controlled by Matt Daehler and Gerard Argent to kill for them. Once he was under Gerard’s control and to protect his friend from getting hurt by him, he killed himself. But he created a cocoon of his own venom and reborn again. He also died for a second time when Derek and Peter stabbed him with their claws. But Lydia used her Banshee voice to say his name and he was reborn again as a Kanima and beta werewolf hybrid. At the end of the second season he moved to London with his family.

Jackson Whittemore died not once but twice in the series Teen Wolf. He once died killing himself with his own claws in order to prevent his friend being hurt by him. He was under the control of Gerard at that time. He was reborn again. Later he was killed by Derek and Peter Hale by stabbing him with their claws. He was resurrected by his girlfriend Lydia using her Banshee voice.

Why Colton Haynes’ Jackson Left Teen Wolf After Season 2?

Jackson left the series in the second season. He was seen leaving for London with his family after getting resurrected. It was revealed that actor Colton Haynes and the network couldn’t came to an agreement with the contract negotiation, as reported by Eonline. He has stated, “The real truth was that they didn’t want to pay me the same amount as everyone else which wasn’t a lot to begin with by Hollywood standards, even though my working quote—the fee I would be paid to appear on anyone else’s show—was higher than most of the cast’s.”

Does Jackson Come Back In Teen Wolf?

Even though Jackson left the series in the second season, he returned to the show in the sixth season. He appeared in the 17th episode of the sixth season titled ‘Werewolves in London.’. He returned to Beacon Hills along with Ethan Steiner and helped Scott and his pack. After helping them to win a fight he and Ethan returned to London.

Jackson was also seen in the film, Teen Wolf: The Movie, which was released on January 26, 2024. Lydia needed his help and summoned him. He broke his promise to Ethan and returned to Beacon Hills. He helped Lydia to fight their former chemistry teacher, Adrian Harris, who was causing the fires in the Beacon Hills Preserve to get Mountain Ash for trapping Scott’s pack. He then attended the memorial service of his former Alpha Derek and then returned to London.
