The charges stem from allegations that the singer secretly slipped ecstasy into his dinner date’s drink at a sushi restaurant in July 2012. Facing a maximum sentence of four years in jail for the charge of furnishing a controlled substance, Green was instead sentenced to three years of probation and 360 hours of community service by Superior Court Judge Mark Young. 

Additionally, he must attend 52 Alcohol Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous meetings and will return to court for a progress report in March 2015. As part of his community service, Green will be working with the MusiCares Foundation of the Recording Academy.
