CJ Perez, despite being born in Kowloon, Hong Kong, spent his formative years in Bautista, Pangasinan, Philippines, where he grew up and honed his basketball skills. During his collegiate years, CJ Perez showcased his talent and versatility by playing for three different teams. He first played for the San Sebastian College – Recoletos Stags, where he made a significant impact on the court.
Later, he transferred to the Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagles, further enhancing his basketball abilities. Eventually, he found his home at the Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates.In his final season with the Pirates, CJ Perez displayed exceptional skills and leadership.
