John Gotti III, a professional combatant recently observed in action against Floyd Mayweather, hails from the infamous Gambino crime family based in New York. He was born on November 2, 1992, and is one of six offspring of John A. Gotti and Kimberly Albanese. The Gambino crime family, one of the dominant factions in organized crime within New York City, holds a prominent position as one of the most recognizable criminal organizations in the United States. It has its roots dating back to the early 1900s and is believed to remain active to this day.
John Gotti III’s grandfather, John Joseph Gotti Jr., assumed control of the Gambino crime family following his orchestration of the murder of Gambino boss Paul Castellano in December 1985. Shortly after taking charge of the crime family, Gotti Jr. was arrested by the police in 1992. However, he passed away ten years later, in 2002, while serving his jail sentence due to throat cancer. Subsequent to his father’s imprisonment, John A. Gotti took over the leadership of the crime family.
Nonetheless, he too was incarcerated in 1999 on racketeering charges. In a recent occurrence, Floyd Mayweather made his return to the boxing ring for yet another exhibition match, this time against John Gotti III. Despite Gotti III’s professional boxing record of 2-0 and MMA record of 5-1, he was not considered a significant threat to Mayweather’s dominance inside the squared circle.
As anticipated, John Gotti III, the grandson of John Joseph Gotti Jr., struggled to inflict substantial damage on Floyd Mayweather. Eventually, their bout was prematurely concluded due to the repeated holding of ‘Money’ by the undefeated professional boxer. Infuriated by the decision, John Gotti III proceeded to launch an attack on Floyd Mayweather, triggering a massive brawl.
The respective teams of both fighters swiftly intervened, resulting in a chaotic scene within the boxing ring. Moreover, the brawl escalated backstage, where the team members and family of both fighters were observed engaging in physical altercations, throwing punches and kicks.
