What Happened to Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes?

In 2002, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes tragically passed away in a car accident during a retreat with her sisters and friends in Honduras. The accident occurred when she swerved to avoid a truck, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times before colliding with a tree.

Regrettably, Lisa suffered fatal neck injuries and severe head trauma, and she was the sole fatality in the accident. On May 2, 2002, a significant number of individuals gathered to pay their respects at her funeral in Georgia.
