Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1, an eagerly awaited fighting game, is developed by NetherRealm Studios. This game is published by Warner Bros. Games. This game marks the twelfth major entry in the Mortal Kombat series, acting as both a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11 from 2019 and the second reboot in the series, following Mortal Kombat from 2011.

Why is Mortal Kombat 1 Not on PS4?

Mortal Kombat 1 is currently unavailable on PS4 and Xbox One, and there are no official announcements suggesting it will be coming to these platforms. Although the game is accessible on the Nintendo Switch, which has less advanced hardware, it appears that NetherRealm Studios is not planning to release MK1 ports for the older consoles.

NetherRealm has a history of not supporting previous-generation consoles, as demonstrated by the cancellation of Mortal Kombat X ports for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The focus seems to be on harnessing the power of newer systems like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S to deliver enhanced graphics and interactive details, making it unlikely that Mortal Kombat 1 will be retroactively ported to older consoles.

Mortal Kombat 1 Review

Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest game in the famous Mortal Kombat series known for its fighting and gore. It’s a pretty big deal in the world of fighting games, and this one is extra special because it pays tribute to the series. When you start playing, you’ll notice that the graphics are really cool. The violent finishing moves look so real that it can be a bit shocking, but also kind of exciting. But the game doesn’t take itself too seriously – some of the finishing moves are just plain silly and fun, like turning someone’s head into fireworks.

The fighting in the game is easy to get into if you’ve played other 2D fighting games before. It’s not too complicated, but there’s enough depth for advanced players to have fun with. They’ve also added something called Kameo Fighters, which makes the fights more interesting.

If you like playing alone, there are different modes you can try. Instead of the old Arcade mode, they have something called the Tower system, which has different teams of enemies and cool cinematic endings. There’s also a story mode that tells a good story about a tournament between Earthrealm and Outworld champions, mixing old and new characters with some interesting twists.
